The Friends of Huck Charity

Friends of Huck was established by professional motocross rider Mark ‘Huck’ Hucklebridge with his wife, Emma. The charity provides assistance to sportspeople living in the UK experiencing hardship caused by serious ill health or injury and supports cancer charities.

In his career Mark enjoyed many years of success, competing worldwide and then eventually moving on to share his skills to train promising young talent. His compassionate nature meant that he chose to use his platform and influence to motivate and help people across all types of sports and abilities.

When he was diagnosed with terminal cancer in 2010, with the help of his friends and family, he set up ‘Friends of Huck’. Through his battle, he gained enormous empathy and was determined to use his infectious energy to support seriously ill or injured people when they needed it most. Since his passing, the charity has continued his wish in successfully raising money and helping those in need, as well as donating funds to hospital cancer units.

If you’d like to help us in our mission, you can get involved in one of the events below or contact us for volunteering opportunities to discuss how you can make a difference.

“The electric wheelchair adaptation that Friends of Huck provided me has made me so happy. It’s an amazing gift and has given me much more independence since my horse riding accident. It allows me to get outdoors and enjoy more experiences with my family. I use it every day. I’m loving it!”
“Friends of Huck helped me with a new set of wheels and straps. It’s allowed me to follow my passion and push harder to get a spot on the GB Wheelchair Basketball Juniors Team! ”
“Friends of Huck’s incredible efforts have raised £100,000 for the Forever Friends RUH appeal. This mammoth achievement has helped build our new cancer unit.“
